The EGO 56V 5.0Ah ARC Lithium™ Battery uses industry-leading technology to deliver Power Beyond Belief™. Its patented ARC Lithium™ design keeps the battery from overheating by pushing heat away so your equipment runs longer at full power. Its durable, shock-resistant design protects batteries from drops and the elements. Intelligent power management monitors and optimizes each individual battery cell to maximize power, performance, and runtime. This 5.0Ah battery features a fuel gauge with built-in indicator lights that show how much runtime is remaining in 20 percent increments. The 5.0Ah battery fully charges in 30 minutes with the EGO POWER+ Turbo Charger (CH7000), 40 minutes with the Rapid Charger (CH5500), 70 minutes with the 320W Charger (CH3200), and 100 minutes with the Standard Charger (CH2100). Two 5.0Ah batteries will fully charge in 80 minutes with the EGO Power+ Dual-Port Charger (CH2800D). Great batteries
I am just replacing my 4.0 Amp EGO battery after 4 years. It stopped holding much of a charge. This new 5.0 Amp battery lasts longer than the 4.0 ever did (as expected) and I can't notice the increased weight. Best to watch for a sale, though. I found this cheaper with the charger included than purchasing just the battery. I love everything about all my EGO outdoor appliances, but dread the day that my 10.0 Amp battery that I use in my lawn mower needs to be replaced. Yes, I recommend this product.

I not only bought one power 5 amp battery and charger, I bought two of them. I fully charged both batteries and have recently used it with my EGO hedge trimmer. I completely trimmed all the bushes on the perimeter of my House, all 20 of them, holly’s and other types of shrubs. My back was feeling it before the battery charge was low. When I was done the battery still had two bars left on the LED display after several hours of trimming. Very impressive ! Yes, I recommend this product.

Good battery and a mixup.
So far, the battery and charger are working and charging normally. When I ordered it from Lowe’s, it came with a free tool - a work light. Nice! When I received my order, they sent me a blower instead of the light. I already have a blower. Not so nice. When I contacted Ego to ask about an exchange, I was told that was Lowe’s problem. Oh. Okay. Thanks for the help. Now, I have a new blower in a box that I don’t need. Yes, I recommend this product.

As good as you would expect
Surprisingly good power and battery life. Ergonomics were good, specially with the optional AP1500 shoulder strap. The included line performed well enough however I'm expecting far better results from aftermarket options such as the MaxPower 338814 I ordered along with the trimmer. This is the 3rd Ego product I've purchased along with my chainsaw and mower so I'm obviously a fan of this system and will not miss my gas tools.

New battery= 4 stars; Ego support=0 stars
My new battery is great so far. The issue I have is with Ego support. I called because there was an issue with my previous battery. They had me run a time test, which I did, and Ego wanted me to send the result to them. After I did, I received another email that said that my attempt to send the communication "has been closed and cannot receive this message." Battery gets four stars; Ego support gets zero stars. Good Power for a Starter Kit
Two charger and two batteries. Both 5 amp batteries allow me to do my entire driveway and sidewalks on one charge if there is about 4-5 inches of snow moderate snow. Our driveway is about 25 car spots so given the area, I’m pleased with what I am able to do. A second set of batteries should allow me to do anything we get hit with. Chargers are fairly fast, so overall a good purchase. Yes, I recommend this product.

2nd Charger Not Working
I have been a very loyal customer owning an Ego lawn mower, blower, chain saw, and hedge trimmer. I have never had a problem with any of them. However, I have now bought three batteries and three chargers over the past 6 years, with two of the chargers no longer working. The first one I simply threw away as it was out of warranty. The second charger just recently stopped working. I called customer service to discuss my issues, but instead of helping me they simply said you are "out of luck" and to go buy a fourth one. It was very discouraging considering they didn't even try to assist me. No, I do not recommend this product.

Poor batteries
I would not recommend the 5Amp battery as I am on my second battery for my leafblower and now it will only charge halfway now. Ego won't do anything about it and these batteries are expensive. I have All most changed all of my equipment over to Ego. I am starting to realize that was probably a bad decision as customer service wasn't helpful at all as the agent was reading off a script to not help me No, I do not recommend this product.

Battery use time
After I charged the battery the initial lawn cut was a neighbor's back yard with overgrown lawn placed mower deck to the 2nd lowest setting left the mulch plug in the mower deck. The back yard is approx. 12'x60' got 30 minutes of use from the battery i was very impressed. Cut my own yard the next day after an overnight charge and used 1/4 of the battery power with mulch plug in place .

Spare battery
Picked up a spare battery from Lowe's to keep around the house. Currently have 5, 10amp (lawnmower), 6amp (blower), and 3ea. 5 amp ones for my two fans, edger and trimmer. I used to have the Z42 riding lawn mower which I sold after we downsized in homes. All in all I have never has an issue with the batteries and some of them are 5+ years old! I received a 2 year old battery and charger.
Not sure how well this battery/charger combo is going to fair as they are already 2 years old. If you know anything about lithium ion batteries, they degrade as they age. More than likely been sitting in a warehouse that's not climate controlled getting hot and cold. I don't have high hopes for this battery. No, I do not recommend this product.

I noticed after receipt of the “new” battery that there was a manufacture date of 2024. I’m concerned that the longevity of the battery could be affected since it’s technically 2 years old already. Shelf life of Lithium Ion batteries can range from 3 to 5 years so does EGO share my concern? Yes, I recommend this product.

Battery charging issue
I’ve not used my Ego blower battery excessively but now suddenly this spring the battery will no longer take a charge. The charge light is green momentarily and then just shuts down. I’ve tried charging it at several electrical outlets to no avail. It’s just not an old unit to now not be operating.
